Basketball Season is almost here and while the Jontay Porter news was not the best of news, there’s still a season out there and games to be played! We took to twitter to see what the expectations are for this year’s Mizzou Basketball Team. Here are the results:
#POLL! With one week left before the basketball season, what are you expecting from this year’s team?— ROCK M NATION (@RockMNation) October 30, 2018
Alright. So the good news is that only 4% of the voters out there see this as a transition year. 37% of the voters see Mizzou barely missing the NCAA Tournament, 30% are still thinking about dancing in march, with 29% of the people seeing Mizzou in the lower half of the SEC.
Glass Half-Full view: Mizzou is a tournament team again, but lives on the bubble most of the season. I’ll take that. But, the more likely scenario is falling short of the tournament, but the season hasn’t started yet! Positive thoughts only.
Here are some of the replies:
If Dru becomes eligible, the ceiling rises a little. I still think 18-20ish wins and barely missing or barely making the Tournament. So bubble basically.— Aaron Wendel (@AaronWendel) October 30, 2018
Just don’t go bursting bubbles, please.
Depends on the other Dru...— J Merlotti (@JMerlotti) October 30, 2018
(Thinking Emoji)... Sadly it just isn’t in the cards.
We're going to the NCAA tournament! If you can't be optimistic before the season starts, when can you be?— Gary Pool (@poolmwv) October 30, 2018
That’s the spirit! Keep the faith, Gary.
