RMN Bowl Pick ‘Em: Are we doing any better?

Let’s take a look before all the NYE games (the most important is ours, of course!)

Well, it’s been a little crazy of a bowl season so far, we’ve had the first time ever a bowl game was canceled due to weather for starters. (That would be the First Responder bowl for those not paying attention.) For now, we’re also acting like it never happened and it’s not factored into the stats at all. And most of us watched Saban’s poor headset take a beating. Of course, we’re all looking forward to tomorrow, but while we have a minute, let’s see how our little contest is faring.

You can find the updated spreadsheet here. Again, the first sheet has your picks, winners in green, the other side in red. The second sheet has the data and percentages, and the third has your overall records. As a reminder, the picks were against the spread, so, as an example, Oklahoma was the winner since Alabama didn’t cover. As a group, we dropped a little and now sit at 48.48%. The most recent worst pick was in the Belk Bowl, only 18% or so picked Virginia, who was clearly the winner since South Carolina decided not to score at all. Bold move, Cotton. Overall the best pick was taking Clemson over Notre Dame, at around 77%.

rls66 and Handle lead the pack at 35-20. TiK is at the other end with a record of 17-38. I will try to have an update before Tuesday’s games, at least in the past few years we haven’t needed the tiebreakers but you never know. For what it’s worth, the large majority chose Alabama for the championship and 59 and 66 were the highest point total votes. Here’s to taking down Okie State tomorrow, M-I-Z!
