1. A very important update to the Terrance Phillips/Title IX investigation
After Terrance Phillips announced on Twitter that he was cleared the most serious allegations in his Title IX investigation, Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch provides a key update to show that wasn’t true:
A woman who filed a Title IX complaint against Phillips last year received an email from the university in June saying the school found Phillips responsible for violating Section 3 of its policy on Sex Discrimination, Sexual Harassment and Sexual Misconduct in Education. Section 3 covers sexual misconduct. Under the policy, sexual misconduct is defined four ways, including “Exposing one’s genitals to another under circumstances in which one should reasonably know that the conduct is likely to cause affront or alarm.”
2. Some national Mizzou predictions
The Big Lead slates Missouri as the No. 9 team in the SEC this year, just behind Mississippi State (no issue there) and Florida.
I know, it’s Florida, it recruits well (although not as well as it used to), blah blah blah. I just do not get why Florida, even with Dan Mullen, is consistently picked higher than Missouri this year. Wake me up when the Gators find a quarterback.
Athlon Sports also predicts the SEC’s biggest upsets of 2018, and Missouri’s on the list — although not a game I would have predicted as a “big upset.”
3. Mizzou basketball hosted two youth camps on Tuesday
And one was conveniently located in Belleville, Ill. Hey, isn’t there a 5-star recruit from Belleville?

Oh, right.
The first camp of the day was in East St. Louis, which led to this cool moment.

4. Houston OT includes Mizzou in his top 5; Marcus Washington nearing commitment day
Rodquice Chaney, a 3-star OT from Houston, listed Missouri, Arizona, Houston, Louisiana Tech and SMU in his top five. Those are five of his 11 offers, so really he just cut his list in half — although who knows if this is a final top five.

Also, Rodquice is a fantastic name, and this is a big year for great recruiting names. There are two recruits in Georgia that have my vote — Artemus McCorkle and Dyquan Bloodsaw. Just top-notch names.
In bigger news, this tweet by 4-star St. Louis WR Marcus Washington got people abuzz:
My mind is made up!

Decision day is scheduled for Aug. 7 for Washington.
