POLL! Who will lead Mizzou in Receiving Touchdowns this season?

If Drew Lock is in for a big year, who’s he going to be throwing to? We asked, and Mizzou Twitter offered a resounding answer.

Football season is inching so, so very close and with every passing week, we’re finding new ways to dream about this year’s Tigers. We’ve asked you all sorts of football related questions, including who will lead in tackles for loss, rushing touchdowns and individual awards.

For this week’s poll, we’re taking it to the air. If Drew Lock is going to be slinging touchdowns all over the place, which receiver is he most likely to target? We asked, and Twitter delivered.

Hmmm...

[squints, checks notes]

It would appear most fans believe Albert Okwuegbunam will avoid the (redshirt) sophomore slump and lead the Tigers receiving corps for the second year in a row. That’s probably the most obvious choice for the Tigers, who lost their other big red zone target, J’Mon Moore, to graduation. Even with three of the four leading receivers coming back, losing Moore will be a burden, one Albert O will likely shoulder much of on his very large back.

Here’s what some of y’all had to say about this week’s poll.

The, “between the 20s,” point is true, though it is a delicious cherry on top of this particular cake. For more on Albert O and the rest of the Tiger tight ends, read David’s piece on how Mizzou’s #TightEndPassingGame stacks up nationally.

That’s not a bad thought. We’ve also seen Albert O get the benefit of some red zone trickery such as the shuttle pass in last year’s Georgia game.

OK, we get it. Y’all are fans of, “Big Al.” No need to make it personal, Wes.

So it seems Twitter stands in agreement: Albert Okwuegbunam is in for another big year. But just in case some of you disagree, let’s get a second opinion.
