Missouri head coach Barry Odom has ramped-up his recruiting in the St. Louis area this offseason, notably with his #LouToTheZou campaign.
On Thursday, Odom secured another player from the “Lou” for his 2019 recruiting class, as three-star prospect Arvell Ferguson from Kirkwood tweeted a video announcing his commitment to Mizzou.

Ferguson is listed at 6 feet, 5 inches and 210 pounds, and he has played at both outside linebacker and defensive end. The Tigers, though, have viewed him most as a future OLB on the team, and Ferguson has said most of his communication with Missouri has come with outside linebackers coach Brian Odom.
During his junior season, Ferguson broke out with 51 total tackles, including 11 tackles for a loss. These numbers, combined with his play at a Missouri-hosted camp in June, boosted his stock in the Tigers’ recruitment pecking order.
As the 11th overall commitment for the 2019 recruiting class, Ferguson chose Missouri over five other teams, though the Tigers were the only Power 5 school in his final six. Ferguson is also the fourth commitment from Missouri, as he joins Maurice Massey, a wide receiver and his teammate at Kirkwood, Jack Buford, a Lutheran North offensive lineman, and Martez Manuel, a Rock Bridge defensive back.
