Live updates, analysis

Final: Missouri picks up a nice 91-75 win over Florida. What an offensive display to watch. You’d love to see a Tigers team that consistently pushes the pace every night.

7:10 2H: Torrence Watson and Javon Pickett hitting 3s. Mark and Dru Smith driving the lane consistently. Big guys crashing the glass. This offense is clicking in every way tonight.

11:44 2H: You hate to see that Florida is already in the bonus with 12 minutes still to play. Missouri really has to hope the shots keep falling because the Gators can claw back into this one quickly.

3:47 1H: Everything is going right for Missouri right now. The team is up 42-25 on Florida right now, and the Tigers are shooting 60% from the floor and 63% from 3. Not sure they’ll sustain that efficiency for the rest of the game but they’re really taking it to the Gators.

11:01 1H: Missouri has held Florida to 18% shooting at the midway point of the first half. Solid defensive effort has supplemented a surprisingly efficient offense. Also, Xavier Pinson came to PLAY tonight.

15:57 1H: Missouri has the early lead on Florida, up 6-3 at the under-16 timeout. A Mark Smith 3-pointer and a Kerry Blackshear make in the post are the only made field goals from either team. The Gators are shooting 13% from the field so far, the Tigers are at 25%.

Pregame

The second home SEC game of the week for Missouri comes with another stiff test: the Florida Gators.

Florida is currently 2-0 in conference play after beating Alabama and South Carolina, while the Tigers haven’t notched their first conference win yet. After Missouri lost to Tennessee on Tuesday, this contest against the Gators became even more important. A win would help get the Tigers back on track as they try to build an NCAA Tournament resume, while a loss will sink their resume even further while the schedule continues to shrink.

Hoops Preview: Florida is young and without any major weaknesses
