Live updates, analysis
Final: Missouri 72, Georgia 69
Missouri steals one at home. The Tigers outscored the Bulldogs 33-10 over the last 13:33 to finally end its losing streak. What a second half for this team, and what a way to end the losing streak.
3:45 2H: Missouri trails 65-60. Once again the Tigers have managed to claw their way back into it as the second half gets down its final minutes, but this shouldn’t be a problem every day. That 17-1 run they gave up to the Bulldogs is still hurting. Missouri will have ball out of the timeout and can cut it to a one-possession game.
11:26 2H: Aaaaand there goes another rough stretch. Not that it’s really on the offense this time. Defense has allowed a jumper, an offensive rebound followed by an easy layup and a 3-pointer to Anthony Edwards in the last four minutes alone. Two layups for Javon Pickett and an Xavier Pinson triple kept it from getting too out of hand but Missouri still trails by 15.
15:40 2H: Missouri put together a nice 7-0 run to cut the lead to single-digits, but Georgia got a couple free throws and a very easy dunk to make it a 13-point game. If not for that 17-1 stretch the Tigers would be in this game, but they remain in a deep hole because of it.
3:26 1H: Missouri fell behind 35-17 but Mitchell Smith and Javon Pickett have knocked down back-to-back 3s to trim the lead to 12. Still, that stretch of terrible basketball that the Tigers seem to have every game now has them in a hole.
15:39 1H: Missouri has the early 8-2 lead. Mitchell Smith made a 3-pointer after missing his last 13 shots from deep, so you could say things are mostly going right offensively for the Tigers.
Pregame
Missouri hasn’t given fans much that would make them tune into any game this season, but perhaps getting to see a future NBA Draft lottery pick at Mizzou Arena could do the trick.
The Tigers host Georgia on Tuesday night, and Tom Crean’s Bulldogs bring with them one of the best players on Missouri’s schedule in Anthony Edwards, who comes in averaging 18.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists. He’ll be a thorn in the Tigers’ side, but the Bulldogs have proven to be beatable.
Georgia currently has just one win in six SEC games, the same mark as Missouri. If the Tigers can find away to slow down Edwards or shut down everyone else around him, they’ll have the opportunity to pull this one out and end their losing streak.

Five Questions!
- Who will be the Tigers’ leading scorer?
- Over/under 8.5 minutes for Tray Jackson?
- Can Missouri keep Anthony Edwards under 19 points (his average in SEC games)?
- Who is in your trifecta?
- What will the final score be?
