BREAKING: Jeffcoat no longer with Missouri football program

Trajan Jeffcoat was put on the depth chart this week for the first time all season, but now he’s no longer with the program.

After being listed on Missouri’s depth chart for the first time this season Tuesday, MU announced just before kickoff Saturday that defensive end Trajan Jeffcoat is no longer with the team.

In a statement, MU said that Jeffcoat is not presently enrolled at the school, and “in consideration of student privacy rights,” there will be no further comment on the situation.

Jeffcoat, who was expected to be a starter this season, went down on the first day of fall camp on Aug. 2 with a sprained elbow. The injury was sever enough to keep him out for the rest of fall camp and through Missouri’s first four games of the season.

He was back in practice this week, though, and defensive line coach Brick Haley said Jeffcoat was practicing with no limitations. But for whatever reason, Jeffcoat will not be with the team for the rest of this season.

Without him, the Tigers still have starters Chris Turner and Jatorian Hansford as well as primary backups Tre Williams, Franklin Agbasimere and Isaiah McGuire to man the defensive end spot.
