Missouri-Florida football: Live updates, score, analysis

Not much changed for Missouri in the 4th quarter. Unable to sustain drives, they’ve just not been able to give the defense the support they need. It’s 23-6 with little time left.

Start of the 4th quarter UF 20, Missouri 6

3Q: 2:58 - Missouri comes out on the bottom end of two reviews, one on an Interception overturned to a catch, the other for an incompletion overturned for a touchdown catch. Florida leads 20-6. The first call was horrendous, the second was actually correct (but the second shouldn’t have mattered because it should have been Missouri’s ball).

3Q: 6:49 - The defense holds again and forces a bad Florida punt. Missouri is only able to convert a FG after getting the ball on the UF 46 yard line. It’s 13-6, Florida.

3Q: 11:56 - After a Mizzou punt, Florida scores a touchdown on a 34 yard pass play and take the lead 13-3.

HALFTIME: UF 6, Mizzou 3

END 2Q - It’s been a defensive struggle and the Missouri defense has shown they’re prepared for it. 4 sacks, 5 tackles for loss, and allowing just 1.9 yards per rush. Conversely the offense has struggled against a good Florida Defense, managing 137 yards total.

2Q: 7:34 - Florida regains the lead, 6-3 on a 39 yard FG. Missouri got a big stop on 3rd down with a sack by Jordan Elliot. It was Missouri’s 3rd sack of the day.

2Q: 9:39 - Mizzou ties it up at 3 after a 71 yard drive which featured a 44 yard pass to Jalen Knox. Tucker McCann banged in the field goal off the left upright to even the score.

Start of the 2nd Quarter UF 3, Mizzou 0

END 1Q - It’s still 3-0, after another few punts, one by each team. Missouri is up to 56 yards of total offense but hasn’t yet crossed the 50 yard line. Gators have the ball on 1st down from the 30 yard line to start the second quarter.

1Q: 4:33 - Three punts later we’re still at 3-0. Missouri’s offense found a little momentum on their second drive, but difficult field position forced them to punt. UF takes over on their own 20 yard line.

1Q: 12:11 - Florida goes 45 yards on the opening kick and is forced into a long field goal, which they convert. 3-0 UF

Looks like Johnathan Johnson may not be a go today.
