Mizzou Football releases training camp roster

News and notes as camp gets underway

NCAA Football: Georgia at Missouri Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

As the calendar turns to August, that can only mean one thing — Mizzou Football is almost here. While the season doesn’t officially start until the 31st, fall camp gets underway with players reporting tomorrow and the first practice on Friday.

Here is the full training camp roster with 110 players, which was released on Wednesday afternoon.

The most important takeaway from this is junior defensive end Tre Williams has been reinstated by Missouri and is back on the roster.

Williams was arrested back in December on an assault charge and was suspended from the program, but recently pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor.

Needless to say, getting Tre Williams back this season will be an important addition for the defensive line depth as the Tigers look to get back their DLineZou days.

Speaking of, former tight end Daniel Parker Jr. is now listed as a defensive lineman on the roster, switching from Tight End last year, which should be an interesting position switch to keep an eye on. Parker was essential to the offense with both pass catching and run blocking but was originally recruited as a defensive lineman.

On the injury side of things, true freshman defensive back Ishmael Burdine (right shoulder) and redshirt freshman wide receiver Khmari Thompson (right knee) will miss training camp.

Senior linebacker Jacob Trump and senior offensive lineman Jonah Dubinski have both medically retired due to knee injuries.

And yes, Kelly Bryant is on the roster, too!

Let’s get this season started, already, shall we?
