First day of camp and we’re already getting news nuggets leaking out.
While Missouri’s appeal on their bowl ban punishment is still pending, we have gotten word on TCU transfer quarterback Shawn Robinson’s request for eligibility, and it ain’t good:

Robinson was likely to challenge Taylor Powell in the backup spot to Kelly Bryant on this years two deep. Instead he’ll have to sit out the full season and look to compete for a starting position next year.
Obviously the concern here is depth, but the main goal should be keeping Kelly Bryant in the lineup as much as possible. While it would’ve been nice to have him behind Bryant, Mizzou’s success this season hinges on Bryant taking all the important snaps.
Barry Odom and company also released a first day of camp two deep:

We’ll have more of a breakdown of the two-deep coming soon.
Quick note here, but I’m a big fan of the Athletic, and I’m excited to see what Peter Baugh brings to the table with Missouri coverage this year. If you haven’t subscribed, I highly recommend it. They’ve got in depth coverage on just about every team everywhere at this point, and you can read Baugh’s piece on the storylines to watch as camp revs up.
