Just a few days ahead of the 2019 NFL Draft declaration deadline of Jan. 14, Missouri tight end Albert Okwuegbunam made his intentions known via Twitter on Thursday.
He’s not going anywhere.

This is huge news for Missouri, as Okwuegbunam’s return gives Kelly Bryant yet another offensive weapon to utilize in 2019. Okwuegbunam’s 2018 season was marred by a shoulder injury that prevented him from playing in the final four games.
He finished with 43 catches for 466 yards and six touchdowns.
After the slightly unexpected blow of losing Damarea Crockett to the NFL Draft last week, Okwuegbunam’s return is a huge offseason win. Even with the injury, Okwuegbunam was widely projected as one of the top tight ends in this year’s draft, with projections having him off the board as high as the first two rounds.
