As the much anticipated game against the South Carolina Gamecocks was about to tip-off, Mizzou Women’s Basketball announced freshman Grace Berg will transfer from the program.

Berg averaged a little under 13 minutes per game but was a top 40 recruit coming out of high school but had seen her minutes dwindle since the start of conference play and opted to try her luck outside of Mizzou. She had a season high 12 points in 24 minutes in the second game of the year against Missouri State and was a nearly 89% free throw shooter on the season.
Shortly, the women will tip in a hotly anticipated game against a top 25 team in South Carolina. There’s been a bit of a sticky history between these two teams stemming from last years dust up during the game, and Jim Sterks comments surrounding it.
