Drew Lock has received the lion’s share of headlines this week at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., and if anything, the attention — and his status as a first-round pick — is just gaining steam
That came to a head today when Brian neuner tweeted this:
Denver Broncos doing their homework on @DrewLock23. HC Fangio, who was the DC in San Fran at one time, reached out to former @MizzouFootball star Justin Smith for his thoughts. Smith believes Lock is the best QB in the draft.
— Brian Neuner (@Bnoon50) January 26, 2019
As Neuner wrote, Smith briefly played for Fangio in San Francisco, and Denver’s interest in Lock has been well-documented. The Broncos had scouts at least four Missouri games this season, including John Elway at one.
Neuner also wrote the fantastic multi-part series on Lock earlier this season, so his connections both to Lock and to the athletic department shouldn’t be questioned.
But, if you’re still on the fence about Lock’s merits as a first-round draft pick, you can watch for yourself. Lock will certainly get a lot of air time at the Senior Bowl. Find out how to watch below.
