Our esteemed — and I use that term very lightly — social media/twitterer ZWal93 took to the inter-webs on Wednesday to post a mid-week question for the twitter masses. It went something like this:
Who wins?
— ROCK M NATION (@RockMNation) October 9, 2019
The question, Who would win a football game between the 2007 and 2013 Missouri Football teams? It collected over 2000 votes with more than 2⁄3 of the votes going towards the 2007 team. Personally, I voted 2007 because the skill position players were exceptional on that team. And while the 2013 offense was elite as well, the explosiveness of 2007, for me, gives them the edge.
2013 probably had the superior line play, which gives me a little pause. Four future NFL draft picks on the offensive line plus the legend Max Copeland, plus and Shane Ray, Michael Sam, Markus Golden, Kony Ealy all on the defensive line.
But one member of the 2007 team had an opinion...
Ok I’ll speak up! I would give the edge to 07 for sure. The skilled guys were the best in the country on O. And the defense was led by @lowill99 with a ton of ballers who loved to compete! The 13 class was tough as nails too but, deeper DL that’s the diff but we had goons

First of all...
SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!
Also, this is why I give the 2007 team the edge. I think the defense had its questions overall but it was still a really good defense. In the end I’ll give a slight edge to Chase and his weapons.
We’re still waiting to hear from L’Damian Washington, official spokesman of the 2013 Mizzou team on this issue. But one clear advantage for the 2013 team, Jack Peglow gifs:
