LOOK: A heavy Veterans Day look to this week’s Mizzou Football uniforms

With a tip of the cap to our nation’s military, Mizzou goes with a new-ish look.

While the on-field results haven’t been very good for the offense lately, the defense has held its water, and in particular, the secondary has played well.

With that theme in mind, Mizzou Football used the secondary to display this week’s uniform threads:

The team did something similar last year, and even teased this a little yesterday with a couple of tweets.

The white helmets have been slightly controversial this year, but I like the look. They’re honoring the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Top Gun flight school (yes, it’s NOT just a movie starring Tom Cruise). Here’s more on the story:

Defensive backs Christian Holmes, Tyree Gillespie, and Jarvis Ware are this week’s models for the reveal. Let’s get a closer look at the flyboy helmets:
