Missouri-Tennessee football: Live updates, score, analysis
Final: Tennessee 24, Missouri 20
That’ll be a tough one to get over. Not sure this team even beats Arkansas next week. We’ll see what Barry Odom has to say about the loss soon.
8:27 Q4: A ouple of big runs by Kelly Bryant plus a big catch by Kam Scott got Missouri in field goal range, and Tucker McCann kicked a 33-yard field goal to cut the lead to 4.
8:40 Q3: Micah Wilson, a quarterback-turned-receiver, just lined up out wide, caught a backward pass from Bryant, then found Tyler Badie wide open in the end zone. It’s Wilson’s first career TD. Derek Dooley brought out the trick-play and it worked. Missouri and Tennessee are tied 17-17.
11:59 Q3: Another field goal attempt gets blocked by Missouri. Jordan Elliott got a hand on it to keep 3 points off the scoreboard. Tigers still trail 17-10, though.
13:31 Q3: Missouri goes three-and-out on its first possession of the half. We’ve seen a lot of that over the last month.
Halftime: Tennessee 17, Missouri 10
The secondary has had a questionable game thus far, which has led to one of their worst performances against the pass this season. Missing DeMarkus Acy seems like it’s hurting even more than expected.
Tennessee also got the ball into the red zone much too easily in that last minute of the half. The defense has been sort of a bright spot this season, but not looking like it tonight.
9:31 Q2: They did it! The Tigers scored a touchdown! Missouri takes back the lead on a 7-yard touchdown reception by Tyler Badie.
6:13 Q1: Tucker McCann kicks in a field goal and then Missouri blocks a Tennessee field goal attempt at the end of the ensuing drive. The Tigers lead for the first time since Oct. 12 against Ole Miss.
