Welcome to another episode of Dive Cuts! Sam T Snelling and Matthew J Harris are here to talk to about surprise, surprise, some Mizzou Hoops. The offense seemed to wake up in Mizzou’s last game, but is that sustainable? Hey, there’s a big rivalry game this weekend! The guys have got a Braggin’ Rights preview, and they wrap it all up by talking about how not pretty the SEC has looked so far.

Episode Breakdown:

:15 – 17:25: Welcome back to Dive Cuts! Thanks to Matt for not decommitting from Mizzou and switching to the Arkansas blog! Mizzou is coming off of a pretty good win and the offense seemed to wake up a little bit. Spoiler Alert: Mark Smith going 7-9 is a major reason why. The guys delve in deeper into the team and expectations for individual players. How does the team go about solving problems when the shots aren’t falling? What are their new starting lineup selections?

17:26 – 35:47: Mizzou is set to take on Illinois this Saturday. First… a NOON start for this game feels... wrong. The early line is showing Illinois being favored by a little bit. Dive Cuts is here to help you preview the Braggin’ Rights game and provide some very nuanced analysis, which everyone needs, right?! It’s gonna be a battle of not very good basketball teams, y’all! Sam and Matt also have a prediction!

35:48 – 48:52: The SEC is… bad. That could bode well for Mizzou this season to add a decent amount of wins in Conference play this year. The scores in the SEC are… not pretty. Across the board, there’s just not a lot of great basketball being played. Just look at who the supposed “top” teams have lost to. Matt teaches us some basketball things.

48:53 – END: Wrap-Up and some programming notes/final thoughts before the pod ends! No pod next week, but there will be plenty of content, as always on Rock M Nation’s site. Feliz Navidad!
