While Missouri (and a few others) search for a new football coach, the rest of the college football season treks on and towards its ultimate conclusion.
LSU hangs onto the top overall spot, but they likely need to win the SEC to make the playoff

With Championship weekend headed our way, we have some marquee matchups which could throw a massive wrench into the playoff picture or further separate the cream from the crop.
- SEC: #1 LSU vs #4 Georgia
- ACC: #3 Clemson vs #24 Virginia
- B1G: #2 Ohio State vs #12 Wisconsin
- Big 12: #5 Oklahoma vs #7 Baylor
- Pac 12: #6 Utah vs #14 Oregaon
- AAC: #13 Memphis vs #20 Cincinnati
- MWC: #16 Boise State vs Hawaii
I guess the AAC and MWC don’t really factor into the playoff race. But the playoff committee is hoping Ohio State (18 point favorite), LSU (4 point favorite), and Clemson (28 point favorite) all take care of business. With those three in the playoff, it likely pushes Georgia out, leaving the door open for either Oklahoma or Utah to walk through. Meanwhile, the question of the week centered around the last playoff spot:
- Utah - 44.4%
- Oklahoma - 28.9%
- Georgia - 20.3%
- Alabama (lol) - 1.2%
- Oregon 0.9%

Fan Confidence time... It’s amazing what firing a coach will do for Fan Confidence. Simply removing the head coach from the equation and confidence went from 10% to over 40%.

Obviously there’s the whole REPLACING of Barry Odom that still has to happen, and how much faith you have in Jim Sterk to improve upon the situation will probably temper the confidence for a bit.
