Live Updates

Final: Missouri beat Temple, winning 64-54. Xavier Pinson called game, driving to the rim and laying it in. Javon Pickett came off the bench to lead the Tigers in scoring with 16 points and five boards. Dru Smith had 12. Missouri returns to the win column, snapping their three game losing streak. The Tigers advances to 5-4.

8:00 2H- Tilmon goes two for two to tie the score at 47. We’ve got a close one here with under eight minutes left.

13:00 2H- The shots have stopped falling for the Tigers and Temple just took their largest lead of the night, now up 43-39.

15:14 2H- A Temple corner three followed by an over the back foul from Reed Nikko bring the Owls within three. Missouri is hanging onto its narrow lead, up 39-36.

0:13 1H- Dru Smith gave us a highlight reel finish to close out the half. His step-back three put the Tigers up 33-27. Javon Pickett was Missouri’s leading scorer with nine points. The Tigers are shooting 44.4% from the field and 33.3% from the three. Missouri has played solid on defense and not made many mistakes. Jeremiah Tilmon missed the majority of the first half as he was subbed out early with two fouls. The Owls haven’t hit a three yet and with Tilmon back in the game, the Tigers should be able to force Temple to take some deeper shots.

4:14 1H- Xavier Pinson’s three bounces in off the rim for his first points of the night. Things seem to be running more smoothly for the Tigers on both sides of the ball. Missouri leads 28-20.

8:05 1H- Dru Smith knocks down a corner three for the starter’s first points from the field. The Tigers have seemed to have fought off the slow starts that they are notorious for. Missouri is up 18-12

After a promising 4-1 start to the season, it’s been a sharp, downward spiral for the Tigers ever since. Cuonzo Martin’s squad has dropped three straight and the Tigers have fallen to 4-4. Coming off the heels of the devastating and embarrassing loss to Charleston Southern, Missouri is running out of time to grab a non-conference win on the road. Missouri will need pull one off tonight if they want to begin to show that the last three games don’t define them.
