Missouri didn’t have to wait quite as long as expected to find out its postseason fate on Monday.
ESPN accidentally revealed the women’s bracket earlier in the day (although unofficially) and then officially dropped the bracket at 4 pm CT; Missouri’s selection show party — set for 5 pm CT — kind of had the rug pulled out from it.
But, good news — Missouri (as expected) is going dancing. The Tigers are the seven seed in the Greensboro region and will face tenth-seeded Drake at 3 pm CT Friday in Iowa City.
Should Missouri win, it will advance to play either No. 2 Iowa or No. 15 Mercer on Sunday.
This is Missouri’s fourth trip to the NCAA Women’s Tournament under Robin Pingeton.
