Coming off a big win over the Florida Gators, the Mizzou women look to extend their streak in the SEC Conference Tournament today against Kentucky. The Wildcats enter the game as the favorite and they defeated the Tigers earlier this season in a January matchup where Mizzou struggled to score the ball.
The 4th-seeded Wildcats are ranked 13 in the country and have won seven of their last eight. They’re led by 6-2 guard Rhyne Howard, a freshman, who is averaging 16 points a game and senior guard Maci Morris who is hitting on 15.1 per contest. Against the Tigers last January it was senior guard Taylor Murray’s 21 points which paced the Wildcats, and Mizzou struggled to get anything going offensively as they shot just 33% from the floor and only Sophie Cunningham got into double figures with 17.
Obviously Mizzou will need more than Sophie to step up today to take down the Wildcats. Enjoy this story on Sophie Cunningham while you wait:

Sophie had 29 points which means she only needs 3 more to take the Tigers all time leading scorer title, she’ll likely do that tomorrow against Mississippi State. The Bulldogs will be looking for a chance to get back at Mizzou after the Tigers beat them on their home floor in February.
For now, we celebrate!
