Jay Maclin isn’t quite as highly regarded as his recently-retired cousin, but at 5-foot-11, 178-pounds, he’s right around Jeremy’s size as a recruit (6-foot, 187-pounds). He’s an ideal fit for the slot in Missouri’s offense. The Tigers lose five scholarship receivers (including Richaud Floyd, although he played cornerback this spring) after this season; although they still have a small army at that position, Missouri will specifically lose starting slot receiver Johnathon Johnson.
Maclin is Missouri’s third commitment in the 2020 class, and joins quarterback Brady Cook as the second commitment from the St. Louis area.
