If you follow this site you’ve probably figured out I don’t much care for the NFL. I’ll always pull for Mizzou kids (and Missouri kids who didn’t attend Mizzou) but I don’t have any team I cheer for (Stan Kroenke can eat a bag of sand — but that’s beside the point). I understand many of you are Chiefs fans and the Denver Broncos are the Chiefs rival, but Denver is legitimately a great city to spend time in, and Drew Lock goes into a place where he’ll have a chance to really grow into a role as a franchise QB. It’s a great opportunity.
Let’s get to the tweets:
Back to back.

We’ve selected OL Dalton Risner from Kansas St and QB Drew Lock from Missouri in the second round.

Dalton bring great versatility to our OL along w/toughness and attitude.
Drew was a four-year starter in the SEC, and he’s going to learn from Joe and compete for the backup role. pic.twitter.com/NIBtoTOx3m
Fun fact -- Missouri heavily recruited Dalton Risner in the same recruiting class as Drew Lock! Now they get to be teammates. #TheMoreYouKnow

Drew Lock was not a Broncos fan growing up. A Kansas City native he was "a Chiefs guy." "I could not be more excited to go back to Kansas City and get some wins with the bad guys."

Multiple NFL coaches mentioned Patrick Mahomes when I asked them about Drew Lock. Never thought he’d get to No. 42, but this is a fun project for #Broncos OC Rich Scangarello, whose expertise is QBs. https://t.co/EHf4TToeuA pic.twitter.com/sMdzTh4Jqn

Congratulations, @DrewLock23! The local #Mizzou alums, family and friends can’t wait to welcome you to the #MileHighCity. #MizzouMade #MountainDrew https://t.co/8vPTC9aYuZ

The @Broncos just got their QB in @MizzouFootball’s Drew Lock! pic.twitter.com/drfqplck9A
Just reminding everyone that Drew Lock once had a water bottle thrown at him from the stands. He then picked it up and drank out of it. Boss move IMO.
— Laura Rutledge (@LauraRutledge) April 27, 2019
Asked Drew Lock if it’s any added motivation going Day 2. He said it’s an added chip on top of the one he already has. Said it’s not the mini size, but the king size @Pringles can on his shoulder (I dig his analogy) Added, “Not sure I needed any extra motivation, but I got it."

Michael Porter Jr. and Drew Lock in Denver. So much Mizzou.
— Lindsay Jones (@bylindsayhjones) April 27, 2019
I’m not the only non-Chiefs fan btw, Pete likes the Falcons for some weird reason, I guess being a Mizzou fan wasn’t torture enough.
