We’re barely into summer and still months away from the 2019 football season, but Barry Odom and his staff are making sure Mizzou stays in the news cycle. Today, the Tigers added their 10th commit of the 2020 class, wide receiver Maureese Wren from Tyler Junior College in Mesquite, Texas.

Wren seemed to have drawn interest from quite a few Division I schools in 2018 (Arkansas, Ole Miss, Nebraska), but he ended up committing to Louisiana Tech and landing at Tyler Junior College.
Unlike Jay Maclin, the other receiver recruit in this class, Wren isn’t a burner. Instead, he uses considerable size to bully smaller defenders and tower above them. His high school highlights see him as the focal point of a lot of jump balls and red zone targets. Maybe he can help Missouri get back to the days when giants like L’Damian Washington and Dorial Green-Beckham roamed the sidelines.
