Missouri inexplicably left out of initial SB Nation preseason Fan Pulse Poll

We knew it was coming because you can’t even vote for Mizzou... YET!

The preseason polls are trickling out already and it’s been hit-and-miss on where people see the Missouri Tigers. If Missouri is included, it’s usually in the 18-25 range, and the majority of the polls which leave them out seem to all have the weird stipulation of them not being eligible for ranking because of the post-season ban currently under appeal.

The outlier?

SBNation.com’s new Fan Pulse poll, released today. Missouri has been LEFT OUT! DISRESPECT I SAY!

If you missed the original post on what Fan Pulse is and what we’re doing here let me fill you in:

Now, SB Nation and Rock M Nation are starting a new polling project — including a brand new SB Nation NCAA Football Top 25 — that will pull together the insights of the most plugged-in fans, and we’re looking for fan sign ups for the Missouri Tigers.

If that describes you, then SIGN UP HERE to join us on SB Nation FanPulse.

If you sign up, you will be among a vetted group from Rock M Nation who answers weekly survey of Tiger fans developed by SB Nation. The survey will start going out regularly once the season begins, and will be highlighted by a weekly Top 25 ranking by us fans. This is something that should take at most a few minutes a week to participate in.

SB Nation is wanting to build the definitive Top 25 of informed college football fans, and that includes you, dear reader! Votes are anonymous — though if you join, you are welcome (and encouraged!) to tell anyone you like. You’ll get to have your voice heard about Bama being overrated or Mizzou getting totally disrespected in the AP Poll week to week.

The results of each poll will be published here and may end up on SBNation.com also, along with the results from other team sites.

Here’s the cool part— you can still sign up! Rock M Nation is one of the better represented College sites in the poll and for that I’m excited. That means we can stuff the ballot one Missouri makes its appearance! I’ve been told the exclusion of Missouri was just an oversight, and provided they win their first game, they’ll hop into the schools available post week one. Until then, here is how EVERYONE voted:

No real surprises at the top, and apparently there were only two blogs overall who didn’t vote Clemson number one overall. I’m sure you can guess that Bama fans think they should be in the top spot, while the other blog was On the Banks... Wait, Rutgers? What? Ok, then!

I honestly meant to record my vote so I could compare, but I forgot to so I have no idea what I said. But here’s how Rock M Nation (that’s all of us!) voted:

  1. Clemson
  2. Alabama
  3. Georgia
  4. Oklahoma
  5. Ohio State
  6. Michigan
  7. Notre Dame
  8. Florida
  9. LSU
  10. Texas A&M
  11. Texas
  12. Oregon
  13. Washington
  14. Penn State
  15. Utah
  16. Wisconsin
  17. UCF
  18. Auburn
  19. Iowa
  20. Northwestern
  21. Iowa State
  22. Michigan State
  23. Miami
  24. Nebraska
  25. Virginia Tech

Nebraska? Really, guys? I can’t remember my votes, but I know I knocked down the Nubs as far as possible. I also remember giving the SEC the benefit of the doubt up and down the ballot.
