Anyway! The focus of the Mizzou beat on Monday was just how awesome the defense was against South Carolina, culminating in Cale Garrett’s crowning as the best defensive player in the SEC, aka the the best defensive player in ALL COLLEGE FOOTBALL!
- Mitchell Forde wrote about two relatively unheralded defenders who played a big role in the Tigers win over the Cocks.
- Ben Hochman at the Post Dispatch wrote about Ronnell Perkins, who represented St. Louis in a big way.
- And, as you all know, the SEC announced Cale Garrett as the conference’s defensive player of the week.
