Mizzou Football looked like they definitely fixed some things against West Virginia on Saturday. While no one knows if West Virginia will be a solid team by the end of the year or not, Mizzou still had to take care of business, and that they did.
From the defense looking much more comfortable and forcing turnovers to the return of Larry Three-Sticks™ , this was something most Mizzou fans desperately needed to see after that lackluster performance against Wyoming.
Welcome back! It’s time for another episode of The Fifth Down with Mitch Hill and Bennett Hughes. The guys recap everything from Saturday— what they liked about the Tigers’ performance, what else they’re hoping to see from the team, thoughts on the stadium’s face lift, and so much more! All in all, it was a good game that Mizzou really needed, especially on defense. After his dominating performance, the hosts — who recorded this pre-announcement, mind you — thought Nick Bolton deserved to be named the Defensive Player of the Week, and guess what? He did!
They also highlight some other story lines in College Football, including a few that might make the SEC East a bit weaker.
