One little quirk of Missouri planning on travelling to Baton Rouge and then winding up playing host to LSU: the uniforms were not going to change.
LSU is one of the rare teams that wears one uniform combo for 95% of the time with the yellow helmets, white jersey, yellow pants. Occasionally they’ll bust out purple jerseys but their “away” uniform basically doubles as their only uniform.
So whether it was at Tiger Stadium or Faurot Field, Missouri’s uniform didn’t need to change.
After two weeks of dodging it, we finally get to see the Drinkwitz regime debut the...sigh...white helmets.

The helmet design is the same as the past two weeks minus a swap-out of school-color black for white. They pair that with the classic black jersey and white pants.

At least they’re keeping the Tiger oval and gold diamond pattern on the helmets. Better than nothing.
I’m a crotchety old poop because I really don’t enjoy wearing white anything at home for football, and certainly don’t believe that any white helmet is better than any other colored helmet for any team (except Penn State). But I realize I’m in the minority here so I hope you all enjoy the threads for this week and hopefully it convinces some highly rated players to come to Mizzou.
