We’re all proud parents, because Mizzou gets straight A’s!
It’s Monday morning, so take a long sip of coffee, crack open that report card and prepare to be a proud mom/dad! Because our little Tigers got straight A’s and nice notes from their teachers!
- Spoilers: It’s straight A’s for the Tigers in Souichi Terada’s Kansas City Star grade card... although one unit got the coveted A+.
- PowerMizzou’s grade card is full of passing grades, with only a few units notching letters below the A-line. It’s for subscribers only, though, sorry folx.
- Ben Frederickson wrote up his column on Saturday’s win, but chose to focus more on the defense that the offense or coaching.
- Chris Bowie at the Columbia Tribune also highlighted the defense, while Eric Blum wrote about a ceiling for the 2020 season that may be rising?
- Souichi Terada focused his efforts on Eli Drinkwitz’s game-planning, which was clearly in peak form as he out-Kentuckyed Kentucky.

- Here’s your weekly Mizzou in the NFL recap:
— It was a few days ago, but Markus Golden had a quietly impactful game for the New York Giants, logging a sack and two QB hits. Couldn’t stop the Giants from losing though, because who could?
— In two of the biggest Tiger performances of the day... Drew Lock was picked off twice against the Chiefs, but also put up 254 yards passing. Where did 60 of those yards go? Albert Okwuegbunam, who led both teams in receiving yards.
— It was a big game for Sheldon Richardson, who also had 2 QB hits, but also notched a half sack to go along with 7 logged tackles.
— Tougher game for Aldon Smith, who managed 3 tackles off the defensive line.
— Charles Harris had one tackle as his team found new and exciting ways to lose close games.
- Oh, so we’re starting to guess bowl games now? Very interesting...
Collegefootballnews.com has Missouri playing in the Music City Bowl against Northwestern, while both of ESPN’s writers have the Tigers in the Las Vegas Bowl.
- Aside from the regular grade card, Gabe DeArmond also posted 10 thoughts from Saturday’s game for subscribers.
- Rountree, Bazelak and Bledsoe all got shoutouts from Saturday Down South in their recap of the game.
- Eli Drinkwitz is still trying to fill out his 2021 recruiting class, and he’s targeting a Mississippi State commit to do so (probably not the worst strategy, to be honest).
- Oh, and we have a basketball offer for the 2022 class!
Four-star junior Jai Smith best describes himself as a ‘Dog’ on the court. He also leads an impressive recruitment and broke it all down with @Stockrisers.
