Welcome back Tiger Fans to another episode of Before The Box Score with Nate Edwards and Brandon Kiley! Nate and BK are here to recap the lackluster performance against Tennessee.

They dive into the fact that it looks like Mizzou has a permanent starting QB, the Defense not getting off of the field when they needed to, and what they liked or disliked about the game on Saturday. Let’s get to it.

Episode Breakdown:

:40 - 4:30: Welcome to “After the Box Score.” Mizzou did not have an impressive showing on Saturday. There were some expectations going into this game and it just didn’t go well. Immediate thoughts, go.

4:31 - 7:00: Well, it looks like Bazelak is the guy at quarterback for now. The offense, while it didn’t score a whole lot of points, seemed to move better with him under center versus Shawn Robinson. Is Connor Bazelak the guy moving forward?

7:01 - 13:18: After a solid showing last week against Alabama, it was a TOUGH day for Mizzou’s defense, especially on the ground. That is a little alarming moving forward.

13:19 - 23:30: Mizzou is needing some production from somewhere at receiver. Only 3 guys had more than 1 catch... Keke Chism hasn’t made the splash that a lot of people were looking for after the hype around him at camp. There was also a very bad drop that was going to be a touchdown.

23:31 -29:00: Mizzou, when they are in a “scoring chance” should be converting more. Mizzou does have a kicker, which is good to see! But they still need to turn those chances into touchdowns.

29:01 - END: General takeaways before the entire site starts to look at LSU after putting a bow on this game. You have some general bright spots, but plain and simple, Mizzou needs to be better in a handful of areas.
