Welcome back Tiger Fans to another episode of Before the Box Score with Nate Edwards and Brandon Kiley. While that game was less fun than others ones lately as Georgia completely took over in the second half. What can you take away from a game that was not close for pretty much an entire half?
This also turns into a big picture pod with where Mizzou stands at this point in time and how Drinkwitz and Company can elevate Mizzou to new levels. Let’s get to it.
:45 - 20:00: Mizzou lost 49-14 to a team in Georgia that is just much better and deeper than Mizzou. That is okay, we knew this was the case. Mizzou’s roster has a ways to go to be as deep as Georgia right now. But in three years? Also, what are some takeaways from everything that happened on the field Saturday?
20:01 - 27:07: If this were a normal football season (it’s not), you have 4 non-con games, which are normally (should be) wins, and then 8 games for conference play. Let’s take a look at what that looks like down the road for Drinkwitz and Company to see how that could help Mizzou in the win column moving forward. Can Mizzou be that mainstay at 3rd in the SEC East and win it every now and then?
27:08 - 45:00: Nate has a Nugget to share with everyone. Since 2013, if Mizzou has beaten Florida, they have also beaten Tennessee and vice versa. Interesting, right?! Let’s start dreaming and where it looks like Mizzou will put it all together again.
45:01 - END: Final thoughts and Trust the Process. We’ll be back this week to take another look at Georgia and hopefully preview Mississippi State.
