Welcome back to another episode of Dive Cuts, with Sam Snelling and Matthew J Harris!
Mizzou is off to a hot 2-0 start and while the game against Oral Roberts went the way many expected, Mizzou picked up a SOLID win against the Oregon Ducks.
What are the main takeaways from the first two games? How Cuonzo Martin and Company can build off of this momentum as the Tigers are set to face Wichita State with a matchup against highly ranked Illinois also looming?
This podcast does turn into a bit of a Braggin’ Rights preview given that Mizzou SHOULD beat Wichita State and Liberty (as well as the general distaste for Liberty), so, extra Braggin’ Rights preview for you!
Let’s dive in.
:30 - 31:25: Mizzou is 2-0! Everything is roses right? Let’s take a look at the first two games and some general takeaways from the beginning of the season. Matt also has a question about Torrence Watson! Does the win over Oregon make a win at Braggin’ Right less important? All in all, being healthy always helps and that goes for multiple players on this team.
31:26 - 42:50: Have there been any surprises in this small sample size so far? And let’s take a look at Wichita State (and a little bit of Liberty but everyone is still less than pumped about that game). It is super important to come out of this next week 2-0 as Braggin’ Rights looms.
42:51 - 53:53: Seamless transition. While there are other games to be played, taking an early look at Braggin’ Rights isn’t a bad exercise, right?
53:53 - END: Final thoughts and Sam and Matt WILL be back next week. We will see you then after hopefully two more wins.
