Nothing like beating a top seed to get momentum!
There’s no rest for the wicked (or the bad basketball teams), is there? Despite the many times this season where we’ve been confident Missouri would pick things up, the Tigers have struggled to maintain any sort of momentum from game to game in the 2019-2020 season.
It looks like those struggles could continue this week. After a hard fought win over Arkansas at home, Missouri is being rewarded with a road trip to LSU, one of the SEC’s premier teams. The Bayou Tigers are anemic on defense, but one of the best offensive teams in the country, so Missouri will need to win a shootout if it wants to grab its second win in a row.
Feeling confident yet? Here’s some links to help you (or not help you) out:
- We’ve already been made aware of some roster news for Tuesday — Jeremiah Tilmon will definitely be out, while Mark Smith will be uncertain.
- Mizzou got the Saturday win, but doesn’t make any moves in Dave Matter’s SEC Heat Check.
- Souichi Terada wrote about two Mizzou players who get personal support from their families no matter where they’re playing.
