FanPulse CBB: The confidence ticks up with improved play

Being more competitive sure does a world of wonder for how we feel about our team.

NCAA Basketball: Missouri at Louisiana State Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports

We typically get FanPulse on Thursday, and I try to get the post up. But with some anniversary/V-day plans Thursday and Friday, I wasn’t able to get this ready. So instead you get it today.

Missouri has been playing a little better. If you were around yesterday, you may have read my piece on how Mizzou is actually good, they’re just inconsistent. The inconsistency had led to a bit more of a roller coaster season for confidence.

FAN CONFIDENCE GRAPHICS

Here are the last five weeks of numbers:

  • 77%
  • 50%
  • 35%
  • 42%
  • 60%

At this point, I’m moderately confident. I think Cuonzo Martin has done a good job coaching, preparing his team, but not very good with getting the kinds of players who can win enough games. Even with the injuries, Mizzou needs some better guys. As long as he can continue to upgrade the talent the program will be fine.

Moving on...

Which team is the biggest fraud in College Basketball?

This is a terrible question, and I kind feel bad it was asked. Our FanPulse overlords should know everyone is terrible by this point of the season.

  • Auburn 21%
  • San Diego State 19%
  • Maryland 16%
  • Kansas 13%
  • Other 11%
  • Dayton 9%
  • Louisville 6%

How can you be a fraud if you’re terrible? Every team is bad, so no frauds.

Except Kansas, they’re always fraudulent.

Sure beating Auburn last night might mean they’re more fraudulent but I still think they’re good. San Diego State has more Quad 1 wins than you might expect. Louisville got the least amount of votes and they just got torched by Clemson... so what do we know?

Are you enjoying this season?

The voters say:

I say:

Everyone is bad.
