Eli Drinkwitz is so hot, not even an NCAA-sanctioned dead period can slow him down!

It’s been a hectic week for college sports, and Friday has been no different. Earlier in the day, the NCAA announced a moratorium on all recruiting activities until April 15. Missouri complied, while also announcing that it would cancel all spring football activities until the same day.

However, there was some good news for Missouri fans to hold onto — Missouri picked up a last second commitment from its QB for the 2021 cycle.

We’ve yet to see what sort of QB Eli Drinkwitz will prefer as Missouri’s offensive coordinator and head coach, but Macon may give us a hint. His highlights show that he’s clearly gifted as a dual-threat QB. He’s quick and escapes pressure well, turning broken plays into big gains for his team.

However, he’s no slouch of a passer either. Peep this completion percentage for the 2019 season — 70 percent! That’s nothing to sneeze at. Sure, there’s a major difference between SEC and Illinois high school coverage. But ESL plays at the highest level, and Macon was so good in his junior year that he earned himself a handful of Player of the Year accolades.
