Today’s Mizzou Links
Hey, hey, waddya know! Despite the overall lethargy in the sports world, Monday was actually a pretty good day for these Mizzou stories. Feast your hungry little content brains on these juicy links.
- Eric Blum at the Columbia Tribune wrote about Yasir Durant, one of many NFL Draft hopefuls who face an uncertain future without regular Pro Days.
- It was a busy day at PowerMizzou. Josh Helmholdt and Sean Williams posted updates for subscribers on 2021 recruits who are checking out Mizzou, while Gabe opened up his regular Monday morning thoughts for non-subscribers.
- Peter Baugh at The Athletic is unlocking his story about Missouri’s Rock M for all to read. To that we say: hell yeah, brother.
- I guess it’s not official, but another cancellation of COVID-19 strikes.
“You can rest assured it will be cancelled,” Scott Woodward said on the SEC Baseball Tournament. He said to expect a formal announcement from the conference soon.

- Kim English has been rocketing up the college coaching rankings, and it looks like he’s about ready to take the biggest leap of all...
Although the search is far from over, Kim English is one of the leading candidates to be the next SEMO head basketball coach. (Multiple sources tell @kfvssports)

English is a former Mizzou player and currently an assistant at Tennessee. pic.twitter.com/ESAWnLJK2b
- This is sad... but also great?
Helen Hu and the #Mizzou gymnastics team weren't able to finish their season, but the team ranked No. 14 nationally when competition was suspended. The Tigers haven't finished that high since 2010, when they were 12th. #NCAAgym

More Links:
Generally this is where we deposit the Missouri-related links that don’t fit with the bigger theme. HOWEVER, there are only so many of those to go around these days.
So as long as I’m doing links (Mondays and Tuesdays!) I’ll be posting stuff that’s getting me through this craziness.
- Here’s your big COVID-19 update for the day... and would you look at that, it’s Mizzou-related!
.@muhealth to have drive-thru #COVID19 testing soon but no details yet. story soon at https://t.co/yKzNhuVNrT #covid19Missouri

- MSHSAA finally did the right thing and called off the state basketball tournament.
- Here’s a big bummer for all you Columbia folk. The ‘Berg is shutting its doors for the rest of the month at least!
The sign says it all, but - stay safe folks. Brighter days and many a more happy hours will be upon us in no time.

- Apparently Bill O’Brien is drunk and making moves for the Houston Texans. We’re all taking these crazy days hard, I suppose.
- Bill Self wants the NCAA to award the national title based on the year’s final polls, to which we say, “Booooooooooooooo,” and also, “Hisssssssssss.”
- For anyone looking for lists of movies to watch during your quarantine, internet funnyman Demi Adejuyigbe has made a very good (and very diverse) list from all of the internet’s various streaming services.
made a list of shut-in streaming recs for a friend (she requested no horror/action movies so, sorry) and am now passing on the savings to you!! dm me if you want a specific mood/genre rec or if you’re bored and feel the need to to get snippy about my bad taste in movies! pic.twitter.com/cIVt3rgoT8
