Missouri loses one, but could win another in recruiting
The news has been universally good for Mizzou football recruiting as of late, with Drinkwitz reeling in four recruits in the past week alone. Missouri is tracking towards one of its highest ranked recruiting classes in years, giving Drink more momentum than any new coach in recent memory.
However, you can’t win them all. Missouri was deeply invested in the battle for three-star Trinity Catholic receiver Demetrius Cannon. But when Cannon announced his school choice on Monday, it wasn’t black and gold he was sporting.
Feeling down about this? Maybe don’t worry too much. There’s another commitment happening today, this time for Tyler Hibbler, a three-star safety out of the same school.
If you’re any sort of internet sleuth, you’ll notice that the recent FutureCast and Crystal Ball picks are all pointing in one direction... towards Columbia, Missouri. Of course, nothing is a sure thing until the pen hits the NLI, but it certainly looks like Drinkwitz won’t be held down for long.
- We’re a long way out from final rankings, but Rivals has officially rated one of Missouri’s recent recruits a 5.7, 3-star, moving the Tigers into the Top 25 in their 2021 team rankings.

- Meanwhile, the 2020 preseason continues to track as normal at Mizzou, as Larry Rountree was chosen to represent the university at the SEC Leadership Council.
