Welcome back to another episode of Dive Cuts with Sam Snelling and Matthew Harris. Since the crew last met, Cuonzo Martin and his staff had their first chance at contacting members of the 2022 class. Sam and Matt dive into some of the targets Mizzou is looking at to play in the Black and Gold when it comes time.
They also dive into Axel Okongo’s decision to leave the Mizzou Basketball program leaving a roster spot available this late in the offseason.
Let’s dive in.
:15 - 5:00: Welcome back to another episode of
Dive Cuts, sorry, the Cocktail Hour, with Matthew Harris and Sam Snelling. Before they jump into covering Mizzou Hoops, as has been the custom lately, they must talk whiskey.
5:01 - 40:10: Time to talk everyone’s favorite topic, recruiting! Here is a one-stop shop for a DEEEEEP dive on the 2022 recruiting class and what we know since Mizzou was allowed to contact members of the class last week. Who is the most intriguing? What positions are Cuonzo Martin and his staff targeting?
40:11 - 52:18: Axel Okongo is no longer part of the program, which is interesting! Why was Okongo added to the roster in the first place? This can serve as a good discussion point when it comes to how important those final roster spots can be. Also, will Mizzou fill that spot? And, it is important to say we wish Axel nothing but the best in the future!
52:19 - END: Final thoughts from Sam and Matt. A drink tip here and there, Sam talks fireworks throwing off his schedule a bit, and we will see you in a couple of weeks!
