Welcome back to another episode of Dive Cuts! Sam Snelling is not with us this episode of Dive Cuts , so joining Matthew Harris is our very own Josh Matejka. Matt and Josh talk Mizzou getting back on the court last week with a win at Texas A&M, which was nice to see.
They also analyze some of the takeaways they have in regards to this Mizzou team during such a weird season. They also look at this week’s action for the Missouri Tigers. Let’s dive in.
:15 - 14:15: Let’s jump right into the action (since you have already figured out Josh is stepping in for Sam this week). There are hoops to be discussed as Mizzou was off for 11 days but went down to College Station and came away with a big win. Let's break that down and what stood out the most and what are the takeaways from this game?
14:16 - 21:00: In the game against Texas A&M, there are some things to dive into with a little more depth. Dru Smith had a game many have come tp expect from him but it has been up and down for him so far this season... why? Pinson didn’t play a whole lot in the second half, so what can you make of that?
21:01 - 32:25: Let’s talk some floor spacing. Mizzou needs that and Mark Smith is the guy you would think gives you the floor spacing, but we just haven’t seen it a whole lot this season. Is that an issue fans should be worried about as the season moves on?
32:26 - 43:28: One thing about having an older roster is you kind of know what you get from everyone. The big thing that has been standing out this season is Jeremiah Tilmon having a very good season and one that a lot of people have been waiting for. That’s a game changer for Mizzou Basketball.
43:29 - END: Mizzou is set to take on South Carolina and Tennessee (again) this week. Let’s give you a bit of a lookahead and what to expect and we will see you next week to recap, react, and look ahead for Mizzou Hoops!
