Good times at Mizzou right now.
After Tuesday night’s 81-70 win over South Carolina, Mizzou is now 9-2 overall and 3-2 in the SEC, currently all alone in fourth place in the conference. The Tigers have won back-to-back games and three out of their last four after the league opening loss to Tennessee. That re-match comes on Saturday night in Knoxville, a 7:30 p.m. CST tip-off on SEC Network — the start of a critical five-game stretch for Missouri’s season.
At No. 6 Tennessee, at Auburn (with Sharife Cooper), vs TCU in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, vs Kentucky, and vs No. 18 Alabama. Safe to say, we will know a lot more about this Mizzou team after this stretch.
Norm Stewart has to like the way Mizzou is playing right now. And Wednesday was his 86th birthday. Happy birthday, Coach!

Meanwhile, No. 6 ranked Mizzou wrestling is absolutely on fire. Tiger Style is off to a 7-0 start this season after huge wins over Northern Iowa and Iowa State on Sunday. And for the second time this season, redshirt junior Allan Hart has earned MAC Wrestler of the Week honors. Congrats to Allan, and well deserved! Here’s more from MUTigers.com.

And in football recruiting, Mizzou has added to their 2022 class as three-star Blue Valley North wide receiver Mekhi Miller has become the latest member. Of the four commitments in the 2022 recruiting class, all four from either the St. Louis or Kansas City area. Eli Drinkwitz and the staff continue do a tremendous job of securing in-state talent. And it’s obviously incredibly early, but Mizzou’s 2022 class currently ranks 13th on Rivals and 14th on 247Sports.
Other scores around the SEC on Wednesday night:
- Georgia 63, Kentucky 62 (Yikes, BBN)
- Arkansas 75, Auburn 73
