Vol week is different from weak voles but it MIGHT AS WELL BE THE SAME.

College GameDay is HERE AGAIN! And we’re all settling in early for yet, another, early kick off. I’m not sure about you all but I’m kinda tired of the early kick. There’s very little time to settle in, you don’t get to watch any other football get going to set the mood. It’s just watching Celebrities pick featured games of the week with Rece Davis and then Lee Corso putting on a mascot head and then watching kick off.

So here’s to the last 11am kick off for at least next week. We’ll have to see what follows.

Missouri-Tennessee football: Betting odds, predictions

As of Friday evening, Missouri is a 2.5-point favorite over Tennessee, according to VegasInsider.com. The total points (over/under) is 65.

Nate Edwards: On the podcast I said 28-27 Tennessee so I would pick the Vols and the under. If Missouri is going to win this game it needs Bazelak to play mistake-free ball and a receiver - probably Chism, but I’ll take anyone (or multiple) - to have a big day.

Oh, and if someone on the defense wants to get wild and force a few turnovers - hello, Shawn Robinson! - that would also be welcome.

Kortay Vincent: I want to pick Mizzou ATS, but they haven’t covered once this year. Still, with that being said, I’ll take Tigers -2.5. They’re due, right? I also love the over in this game with the lack of defense on both sides. I could see both teams scoring 40 in this one.

Ryan Faller: As bleak of a picture as I have painted here thus far, something tells me the law of averages kicks in Saturday.

Despite the 11 AM start, the defense plays with a little more inspiration, and I think the Tigers’ week-long breakdown of Florida’s offensive success against the Vols last week pays off, particularly on third down.

Tyler Badie continues to be the straw that stirs the cocktail, but give me the combo of Barrett Bannister and Chance Luper to make the difference late as Mizzou pulls even in conference.

Mizzou, 31-[score redacted]

Nick Carner: I like Connor Bazelak, and Tyler Badie is one of the best running backs in the conference (a real shocker that Tennessee let Badie get out of the state without even an offer, and *checks notes* apparently didn’t want Elijah Young, from Knoxville either. *rolls eyes*). Tennessee’s offense is going to be a storyline because of its pace and the question at QB. But I think it’s the defenses that decide this game. Tennessee’s was stout against Florida, for half of the game. If Mizzou can force some quick Vol three and outs then turn those into TDs, then, well, yeah.

I’ve been pretty impressed with new Tennessee defensive coordinator Tim Banks so far, especially given the time his group is spending on the field each game, and Heupel’s play calling/ play designs helped keep the Vols neck-and-neck with the No. 11-ranked team in the country last week. No score prediction, but I think UT steals a close one in Columbia.
