Welcome to another brand-spanking-new episode of Dive Cuts with Sam Snelling and Matthew Harris. Last week was a bit of a mixed bag for Mizzou Basketball and that’s one way of putting it. Mizzou went 1-1, which isn’t awful but it was an interesting method at getting there. Everyone is aware of the subject officiating on Tuesday at Auburn, but Mizzou had their chances so Sam and Matt discuss. Mizzou also escaped with a needed W on Saturday albeit it not in stellar fashion, but a win is better than a loss! Mizzou is now at 18 in the AP poll, which seems fair.

All of that and more on the latest episode of Dive Cuts including all happenings in and around Mizzou Basketball as well as what is ahead this week. Let’s dive in.

3:36 - 25:45: More on the Newell stuff later, but first let’s talk about the week that was. Missouri went 1-1 and dropped a bit in the AP poll. General takeaways from last week? Everyone is aware of the officiating in the Auburn game. Mizzou barely came out with a win against TCU, so let’s digest both matchups.

25:46 - 46:20: Let’s talk some rankings and as they relate to the Tigers. The AP Poll has them in one spot, KenPom has them somewhere else. What is going on with all of this? Let’s talk rankings and Matt agrees with the computers.

46:21 - 63:00: Enough rankings talk. Mizzou has two games this week. One against Kentucky and one against Alabama. These can both be good tests for Mizzou Hoops. What do these matchups hold for the Tigers? Alabama provides a little more intrigue, but Kentucky is Kentucky.
