Welcome back to another episode of Dive Cuts with Sam Snelling and Matthew Harris. Mizzou split their games this past week but picked up a very necessary win on Saturday to kind of right the ship. They checked in at 24 in the latest AP poll and are still in a good spot for the NCAA Tournament.
Sam and Matt offer their takeaways from last week as well as what to look for in the rematch against Ole Miss and (we think/hope?) and Texas A&M Saturday. To finish it all off, Sam and Matt talk the Cuonzo Martin coaching rumor that hit Twitter over the weekend. Let’s dive in.

Episode Breakdown:
:15 - 4:00: Welcome back to a new episode of Dive Cuts! Hopefully everyone is a little warmer this week. Matt has been able to go outside, Sam has his bourbon. So things are getting back to normal.
4:01 - 23:55: The Tigers lost at Georgia without Jeremiah Tilmon and beat up on South Carolina with him. While the Georgia loss wasn’t ideal, it was good to get a W against the Gamecocks and right the ship a bit. Let’s discuss.
23:56 - 50:20: The last time Mizzou faced Ole Miss it wasn’t pretty. Hopefully this time around it is a bit different and Mizzou can come away with a win. It’s no sure thing the Texas A&M game happens, and you want to solidify your position in the SEC with the Tournament looming. Mizzou should be a lock for the NCAA Tournament, but let’s also take a closer look at the resume, shall we?
50:21 - 68:30: Over the weekend, a Twitter rumor surfaced that Cuonzo Martin is linked to the Miami job, which would become available if Jim Larrañaga retires. There is probably nothing to it, but rumors are a fun exercise sometimes. Sam and Matt examine the facts and it takes them down a long, interesting road.
68:31 - END: Final thoughts and we will be back early next week talking about (probably) just the Ole Miss game and previewing the Florida game. We’ll see you then.
