Well...

With the loss to Ole Miss on Tuesday night and Saturday’s postponed game against Texas A&M, it hasn’t been the greatest week for Mizzou Basketball. But you could see this PPD coming a mile away, because the Aggies haven’t played since January 30th.

Even having lost four out of their last five games, Saturdays without Mizzou Basketball aren’t fun... so here’s hoping they find another opponent. We’ll see.

Good news! There was a ranked Mizzou team that won this week! Mizzou Softball came in ranked 19th/20th in this week’s polls. And in a Top 25 battle on the road at Central Florida, the Tigers came away with a 6-5 win over the Golden Knights. That’s not a bad midweek game to have on their resume!

Sophomore RHP Megan Schumacher got the win to improve to 2-1 on the season, and sophomore LHP Emma Nichols recorded her first save of the season. On the offensive side, outfielder Cayla Kessinger, catcher Hatti Moore, and first basemen Emma Raabe added home runs.

The Tigers improved to 7-2 on the season and have won four in a row. Up next, they’ll take on Middle Tennessee State on Friday in the South Alabama Invitational.

(Other SEC Basketball scores on Wednesday night)

  • Mississippi State 69, South Carolina 48
  • Arkansas 81, Alabama 66
  • Tennnessee 70, Vanderbilt 58
