The Missouri Men’s Basketball program has announced an addition to the schedule. No, it’s not a game to be played this weekend. Sources in the program have indicated they are not scheduling a game and will only focus on their upcoming contest in Gainesville, Florida against the Gators on Wednesday.
Instead the Tigers announced a different kind of Tiger will be making the trip to Columbia, MO next weekend.
The Southeastern Conference announced Thursday that the men’s basketball game between Mizzou and LSU, which was previously scheduled for Jan. 9 but postponed due to COVID-19 protocols, has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 6 at Mizzou Arena. Tip time and TV designation have not been finalized at this time. Fans are asked to use Game 6 tickets and parking.
The game will also serve as Mizzou’s Senior Day, honoring a group that features Jeremiah Tilmon, Dru Smith, Mark Smith, Mitchell Smith and Drew Buggs. The senior class will be recognized immediately following the game’s conclusion with a ceremony. Fans are encouraged to stay in their seats when the buzzer sounds to honor the senior class.
Mizzou and LSU meet for the 11th time in series history. Mizzou seeks its first win over LSU since Jan. 8, 2015.

Mizzou will feature their 5 man senior class, including Dru Smith, Drew Buggs, Mitchell Smith, Jeremiah Tilmon, and Mark Smith in a post game ceremony. Rescheduling the game against LSU makes a lot of sense as playing the game cannot hurt either program in their quest for an NCAA tournament berth or it’s seeding. The game figures to be a Quad 1 game for LSU, and at worst a Quad 2 game for Missouri.
