Rock M Nation Bracket Challenge Update: To the Final Four We Go!

After a wild Sweet 16, the madness has kinda evened itself out, with the exception of the last game on the Elite 8

Hey, basketball fans! It’s time to check in for another Bracket update! In case you weren’t glued to your tv, here’s how the Elite 8 went, along with the Final 4 match ups, which will take place on Saturday.

Poor, poor Arkansas

Yeah, a Play-in Game 11-seed in the Final Four is JUST what we all predicted, right? I don’t know about you all, but I definitely had Michigan State winning that first game and another (Go Green), so the Bruins advancing this far is just... wild. This will be Mick Cronin’s first Final Four, and UCLA’s first F4 appearance since 2008, according to the tv announcers. That’s pretty cool.

According to my light research (thanks, Google), this will be Gonzaga’s first final four since... 2017 (SO LONG AGO) when they knocked off Frank Martin’s Team of Destiny. UCLA, as already discussed, last appeared in 2008. You’ll have to go back to 1984 to see Houston’s last appearance, when —FUN FACT— they made three straight. And Baylor is in the Final Four for the first time since 1950, so that’s been.... a while.

Moving on, let’s see how everyone is faring in the bracket challenge, shall we? Here’s the Top 10.

Who’s that in first? It’s Alex Wade— I know him from the twitter, so congrats to you, sir! As for the rest of the Top Ten, I only recognize Deputy Manager Josh’s name, who is holding steady in the Top 4 and making the rest of the staff look bad.

How’s the Rock M staff doing? Well, someone has got to hold down the tail end of the bracket, and in this case it continues to be me and Levi. There appear to only be about five people worse than us at this, so that’s... impressive.

Great work, y’all. You are all much better than me (and Levi)! I see my parents are in 17th (way to go, Dad) and my mom’s expected tumble from the top for being a true Mizzou believe knocked her all the way down to 40th.
