Rock-M-Tology: Road win over Florida moves Missouri up to a No. 6 seed

Mizzou’s key road win at Florida is yet another Quadrant 1 victory. That’s deserving of a No. 6 seed

rock m tology bracketology

The Missouri Tigers got a much-needed win for their seeding purposes on Wednesday night at Florida, giving them seven Quadrant 1 wins on the season. That absolutely ended any (silly) discussion of them missing the NCAA Tournament altogether. This team is in, without a doubt.

More importantly, the win moves them further away from that 8/9 seed line. Why? Well, because Illinois, Oklahoma State and Baylor are the only teams in the country that have more Quadrant 1 wins than Mizzou right now.

Saturday against LSU is another one of those opportunities, as those Tigers come in at No. 28 in the latest NET rankings.

Checking in on the other latest projections, CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm has Missouri as a No. 5 seed against Loyola-Chicago.

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has moved Missouri up to a No. 7 seed against Saint Bonaventure

In this latest edition of Rock-M-Tology, Mizzou comes in as a No. 6 seed thanks to the win over Florida.

TRENDING UP:

Georgia Tech (14-8): The Jackets are in the field after five straight wins, fresh off a victory over Duke.

Michigan State (14-11): The Spartans are 4-2 in their last six games and won the key bubble game over Indiana on Tuesday night. The loss to Michigan on Thursday night won’t hurt them, but they need a win over Michigan on Sunday to feel safe.

TRENDING DOWN:

Boise State (18-7): The Broncos’ at-large hopes took a huge hit on Tuesday with a home loss to Fresno State.

Xavier (13-6): The Musketeers are 2-4 in their last six games coming off a loss to Georgetown. Not great.
