NCAA Basketball: Louisiana State at Missouri Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to another episode of Dive Cuts with the power duo of Sam Snelling and Matthew Harris. The regular season is over and it was a mixed bag. Mizzou is pretty much where many here expected them to be, but there were points early on where Mizzou looked like they would shatter expectations.

Anyways, after a 1-1 week, there are takeaways from both games! Mizzou looks to be a lock for March and will end up with probably a 7 seed there, maybe a 6 (?), but only time will tell. Mizzou faces Georgia in game one in Nashville and that is certainly a game they should win. Let’s dive in and talk Mizzou Hoops, Nashville, and March Basketball!

Episode Breakdown:

:45 - 20:40: Let’s talk about this Missouri team as the regular season has been wrapped up! The SEC Tournament is here to preview, and Sam and Matt also touch on the NCAA Tournament. But first, the regular season assessment and a recap of what happened last week (Mizzou went 1-1 and Sam was right).

20:41 - 45:35: So let’s talk a little SEC Tournament. Can Mizzou make a deep run? Does it matter? Beating Georgia is the first step with Arkansas waiting in the next round. What winning a game or two might do the Tigers legs and tournament seeding, and how Mizzou got to their current projected seed with so many big Quad 1 wins.

45:36 - 56:10: Even though the regular season is over, the rest of the season isn’t for the first time in a few years, which is nice. There will be plenty of time to talk about the entire season once it is all the way wrapped up.

56:11 - END: Mizzou plays Georgia on Thursday and there might be more games after that. Hopefully there are, but we don’t know! One thing we do know is that we will be back to recap it all and talk the NCAA Tournament on Monday!
