College Football Saturdays are fun, aren’t they? This last one wasn’t any different, as we saw six ranked teams lose this weekend — while three top 25 teams (Miami, Virginia Tech, and UCLA) lost to unranked teams.
In SEC action, No. 1 Alabama survived with a 31-29 win over No. 11 Florida in The Swamp, and No. 22 Auburn lost a tough one — 28-20 to No. 10 Penn State on the road in Happy Valley.
In the latest poll, the SEC still leads the way with seven teams ranked in the Top 25, with Alabama and Georgia holding the top two spots. Florida stays at No. 11 after their two point loss to Alabama, while Auburn only drops one spot after their loss to Penn State. Texas A&M and Arkansas highlight the SEC slate on Saturday with the only Top 25 match up in the conference.
Meanwhile, Missouri’s next opponent on Saturday is on the road at Boston College, who is off to a 3-0 start with wins over Colgate, UMass, and Temple. The Eagles are outside the Top 25, but have received nine votes in the latest poll.
